I decided to just check in here a minute this morning. I'm happy to report that I am down another 2.5 pounds since Thursday. Now remember I am losing "recently gained" weight. If this was virgin pounds I wouldn't be able to take it off like that. But it's not and so I will revel in the relatively fast loss for an old lady like me while it lasts.
That puts my weight this morning at 213 again. Now I am only 2 pounds more than the first of January. Isn't it funny how we have all these earmarks along the way? I'm always telling myself that if I really continue to kick things up a notch I could actually be at goal by next January. But then reality sets in and I truly don't even want to lose weight that fast. If I lose 50 pounds in 5 months that would be ten pounds a month! I have done that only once on this weight loss journey of a year and a half. Oh yeah, and get this; that was the very first month of the diet!
I'm in my 40's. Fast weight loss spells hanging skin. I cannot have that happen any worse than it already has! So slowly and healthily I will lose this weight. For today I will rejoice in a 2.5 pound loss in 4 days! That's huge for me!
Great job! That is AWESOME!! I completely agree with doing it slowly. It's not as gratifying right away, but the long term chance of keeping it off goes WAY up. That's what REALLY counts!
