So stressed

I should have lost way more than 1 pound last week but I didnt so there ya have it. We are dealing with security issues at my school and now I have to move all my students and classes. Its been a full time job just fielding the calls and concerns of the parents.

On top of that, my husband is out of town, sitting by the bedside of his dying sister. Im left to deal with the school crisis and my kids who are upset at the changes both at school and at home. Eating properly has not come easy.

It is now almost 3 am and I haven't slept all night due to stress. Stress is not good for weight loss. My plan is take a walk when the sun comes up and see if I can release some of this pent up frustration. I then intend to eat right and stick to my weight watchers plan this week.

I went out and bought weight watchers prepared meals to get me started. I have so much on my mind and so much going on that I just dont have time or room in my brain to figure my own points. So for now it will have to be frozen foods and free point foods until I can think again.

  1. and it's a new week.
    frozen foods and points.

YOU CAN DO THIS...one day at a time and one choice at a time.

  2. Sorry that so many stressful things are going on. And my sympathies to your family/hubby.

When you are sitting down at breakfast or in the evening and chilling a wee bit, just make up three days' worth of PointsPlus matching meals. This way, you don't have to think about it and you can repeat 3 days's of meals ad infinitum as needed. One of the things i've read over and over in books on weight loss is that people who lose a lot and maintain tend to repeatedly eat similar meals....it becomes "no brainer" eating. Maybe a choice of 2 to 3 set meals for breakfast, 2 to 3 for lunch, 3 to 4 for dinner, and it gets mixed and matched and reapeated.

During this stressful time, if you an just zero in on a couple to three meals you can eat interchangeably over and over, you'll simplify shopping and eating and be able to eat healthfully, too. Worth a shot?

Take care and hoping stress levels off....
