Limbo

I havent weighed myself since Friday. It is now Tuesday. This is not a good thing. A lot of people swear that weighing themselves is detrimental to their weight loss causing them to hyper focus on the scale rather than eating healthy. Well for me its the opposite. If I go days without weighing it means trouble.

It's 3 am here in the Pacific Northwest. I leave for Idaho shortly. I just finished a week with my mother in law at my house now I go a week to my parents house. This is two weeks of eating in unusual patterns.

Lets just say I have high hopes for the beginning of April when I shall redouble my efforts and get back to wholehearted weight loss. This limbo is not fun. I need to learn how to deal with life outside of the ordinary. These sort of weeks will happen as long as I live. I have to get a plan, for goodness sake. This is so frustrating!

  2. The problem of implementing a plan has been my biggest obstacle. I can make great plans for what to eat and how to exercise, I can also plan to put "me" over anything that comes up for just one hour a day- but, guess what? I don't follow it. I think if I could find a way to do it within my life I will have found the key to unlock the chains that surround me.

  3. I just published a blog titled Damn You Curly Fries and it talks about the very same thing...not depending on the scale and having a plan. I get so caught up in the scale that I forget to recognize my non scale victories.

And my take on planning...if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I struggle with planning but I know I will get it together.

  4. Have a great time. Tomorrow is new and fresh and life is short to be bound by this giant. Have fun, be aware of what you eat, try to get in a little exercise...maybe some shopping, lol. Next wk you'll get back on track!
