January First

Weigh in: 252. Next January I would like to see that at 190. Now, how to do that. I still don't know. I will just count calories. Last January I weighed 235. That's a gain of 12 pounds this year. It would have been really easy to lose 12 pounds, but no, I gained 12!

  2. 12lbs in a year is the equivalent to 1lb a month. In the big scheme of things, is it really that bad? 12lbs is a good 6-8 weeks and I have every faith in you. Good luck with your journey this year! :)

  5. Congrats, first for making a plan and a commitment to yourself! I've always struggled with weight and this past September I finally decided to change that. I didn't want to be the biggest person in the room or to have later health issues. I knew I couldn't do it alone, I'd tried that for 25+ years and the scale number only got larger. I decided to join Weight Watchers, I know its not for everyone but you might try to find a similar type of support group. the accountability piece is HUGE!!! I've lost 20lbs in about 17 weeks. And its real weight loss, not water weight, i've gone down 3 pant sizes!!

    Anyways, Good luck! its not easy that's for sure. its all about staying focused and figuring out what works for you!

  7. Congrats on your accomplishments so far!! That is excellent what you have been able to achieve! It's definitely great to have a support network to work off of. I recently just joined a 90 Day Challenge to achieve my personal weight loss goals. It may be beneficial to join a group so that you can stay accountable. There is actually a very large group of us that are starting up on the challenge, and it's a GREAT way to network, stay accountable, and achieve goals.

    We have a network online. We're using ViSalus Sciences to achieve our goals without having to change too much of our daily routines. It might make your challenge more like a "piece of cake" than you thought. :-)
