Weigh in: 252. Next January I would like to see that at 190. Now, how to do that. I still don't know. I will just count calories. Last January I weighed 235. That's a gain of 12 pounds this year. It would have been really easy to lose 12 pounds, but no, I gained 12!
I'm just starting back to counting calories myself, as is my friend Deedra. If you ever need support, feel free to check out my blog! We can do this!
ReplyDelete12lbs in a year is the equivalent to 1lb a month. In the big scheme of things, is it really that bad? 12lbs is a good 6-8 weeks and I have every faith in you. Good luck with your journey this year! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, back to losing and being committed then? It's that 'simple'. Happy New Year, make 2012 count! You're.Worth.It.
ReplyDeleteKeeping track of calories in my mind or memory has worked for me in a steady way for 3 years. Seems to steer on autopilot in the right direction!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, first for making a plan and a commitment to yourself! I've always struggled with weight and this past September I finally decided to change that. I didn't want to be the biggest person in the room or to have later health issues. I knew I couldn't do it alone, I'd tried that for 25+ years and the scale number only got larger. I decided to join Weight Watchers, I know its not for everyone but you might try to find a similar type of support group. the accountability piece is HUGE!!! I've lost 20lbs in about 17 weeks. And its real weight loss, not water weight, i've gone down 3 pant sizes!!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, Good luck! its not easy that's for sure. its all about staying focused and figuring out what works for you!
Congrats! Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your accomplishments so far!! That is excellent what you have been able to achieve! It's definitely great to have a support network to work off of. I recently just joined a 90 Day Challenge to achieve my personal weight loss goals. It may be beneficial to join a group so that you can stay accountable. There is actually a very large group of us that are starting up on the challenge, and it's a GREAT way to network, stay accountable, and achieve goals.
ReplyDeleteWe have a network online. We're using ViSalus Sciences to achieve our goals without having to change too much of our daily routines. It might make your challenge more like a "piece of cake" than you thought. :-)
You can check out the challenge here: 90DAYFITCHALLENGE.CO
Best wishes and keep up the hard work!
That sounds great. Keep it up and don't lose your focus and determination. Next year, you'll see that your effort for the whole year will definitely pay off.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you are sharing your journey here so we can encourage you. I've just stumbled upon your blog today, so did some catch up reading. Your experiences seem pretty typical, so don't be hard on yourself. A book that really turned things around for me is Health at Every Size by Linda Bacon. Might be a good winter read.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more about your successes!
So happy to find your blog today, have went back to read your previous posts and it seems so many of us share the same struggle with weight loss. I have struggled with the same 10 lbs for 3 years and can't believe I'm having such a hard time losing weight, but I have a positive attitude this time around and will be joining you this year in making a positive change in my life. Keep up the good work and it will pay off for you. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your journey! I'm sure you will accomplish your goals! :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I found really great online shop where you can earn money. Each friend that registers because of you, earns you 1$ on your account (they send the money to your account at the end of each month). If you invite a lot of friends, and they all register, you have a lot of money on the account and you can actually order something for free. So, click here to register and start earning some money for shopping :-)
ReplyDeleteDear,
ReplyDeleteBuy phentermine online without producing prescription. Diet pills like phentermine help reduce weight and get back into shape without any side effects.
Hi, I just came across your blog (by hitting next blog) and I can totally relate to your weight woes. I come from a family where almost everyone is overweight, so I'm constantly watching what I eat. It's a slippery slope for me too, and I know how easy it is to fall down. I just wanted to drop a line to give you encouragement because you're not in this alone.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Heather
