Ive been struggling a little with weight loss this week. After four and a half months of dieting I no longer go off the wagon with bad foods. Instead, I eat too much of the good foods. I cant begin to tell you how important calories are to my overall weight loss plan.
For 12 years I have struggled to get this weight off. For 6 of those years I have been extremely overweight. I was always looking for the diet that would allow me to eat without counting calories. If the diet book said you could do this diet without attention to calories then that was my diet!
Now I know that was also my reason for failure. I'm not saying it works this way for everyone but for me I have to count calories or I don't lose a thing! It's so frustrating! So I eat a green pepper with 2 T of hummus on it. I have a hundred calories. But if I add to that another snack in the afternoon with another hundred calories I'm now 200 calories more then I was the day before and that is death to this woman's weight loss.
Oh yes, I still have reason to believe I can pull off a loss this week but this is a little discouraging. On the other hand I need to realize that I have lost almost a third of the weight I set out to lose so that is a good thing. I have also been adding more water to my daily liquid intake and less coffee. So there are some good things happening.
I just need to learn patience!
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I have not been too motivated to keep up with things, but it seems like you're doing great. Congrats on your success so far.
