Confession

Okay so today I stayed right on the program. How? You asked. Well some of you may just want to turn away right now and write me off when you hear what I have to say. I took a prescription diet pill today. Yes, I did. It made a world of diff. I have had these pills sitting here for over 7 months but I have been loathe to take them. At one point I broke them in half and tried them but that didn't work. I didn't really feel a change in appetite at all.

Today I took the entire pill and had no trouble staying within my allotted calories. So now what? I don't want to continue taking them long term but it would be nice to take them for a short bit to get me back on track. I can just hear you all groan.

Last January or February I took these pills for a short time and ended up seeing my lowest weights ever in 10 years. Then I quit cause I was worried about taking them. Now I want to take them again. I have to do something! I need to jump start this loss.

So okay tell me how wrong this is of me. But after telling me then tell me of abetter way to curb my appetite cause I havent found it. I'm all ears.

  2. I wish they would work for me, lol. Seriously, if these are the ones I think they are, what's wrong with taking them? I might worry if it was one with Ephedra (which I'm not even sure is legal anymore) though mostly due to the side effects of it. You work so hard on this weight loss, why NOT give yourself a little extra help. Especially if it helps you through the holidays.

  3. I took phentermine for a while and it made a world of difference, first time I ever felt "normal" about food. I say go for it if it works for you and isn't dangerous

  4. I quit taking them because I lost the weight I needed to. I would have tried them again but that is about the time the news came out about the side effects of the fenfluramine..which I was not taking. I did gain the weight back, and found it hard to get the pills again.

  5. Anon so why was it hard to get the pills again? Did the doctor not want to give them to you because you gained the weight back?

  6. My doctor told me I could just eat less and lose weight....right why didn't I think of that. I don't think he wanted to give them to me in the first place so when my prescription ran out and all the side effects were brought to light, he didn't think I needed them. I'm sure I could have gone to another doctor to get them, but I guess I just gave up. I gained the weight after my scrip ran out. Didn't gain it right away but I think I put on 50 + lbs after that. This was about 11 years ago. On a brighter note I have lost 73 lbs this year

  7. I think it's a good idea since you plan on not doing it long term!
