Okay so which is the best for keeping hunger at bay; fiber or protein as in ketosis like Atkins. I feel like I could do this if I could just not be hungry all the time. My insulin rises at every bit of food I out in and drops swiftly leaving me in a hypoglocemic state most of the time. I hate this. Once I give in to the sugar I can't get out of it's iron grip. How do I break out of the sugar coma when insulin is yelling for it? I read somewhere about a tea that helped stabilize insulin and blood sugar. Now I cant remember it.
Between the candida calling out for sugar and the insulin surging through my body callign for even more sugar I feel like there is no hope. The answer lies in stablizing my blood sugar and getting rid of the candida. I need answers. How do I do that?
You will get glucose under control by eating sufficient protein (80 to 100 grams a day)and moderate amunts of fat, but LOW carb (40 to 80 grams daily). Let carbs be from lots of veggies, easy on the fruit. Ditch gluten, potatoes, sugary foods.
ReplyDeleteHunger/cravings will pass in a week or less--if you can stick it out.
Tuff road at first., but I guarantee it will even out your glucose levels. Lots of info on the web about it.
Hang in there.
Deb
I agree with Deb but would say eat even less carb until you notice a loss and more protein.( I eat 6-8 oz at every meal) I have 25 g max a day all from veg. No fruit, no potatoes, no gluten, no sugar.
ReplyDeleteRuth, have you been losing weight? And also, what happened to you on facebook?

So sorry you're still struggling. (( hugs )) Have you tried PGX? Read the reports - re: glucose and insulin. It's natural and really helps me. I have one packet in my yogurt in the afternoon (when I'm tempted to munch).
ReplyDeleteI agree re: more protein.

I just read about PGX the other day for the first time. I wasnt sure if it really helped or if it was a gimmick.

I have never been a big sugar/sweet craver, but I find my sugar drops so bad and I need it as a necessity. Like I have to go drink apple juice so I don't pass out which is screwing up the whole process. Also now(before shots never hungry) I am starving and weak yet I have to shove food down my throat because I am so nauseous and just miserably ill. Wa Wa Wa! I know but can anyone give some advice?
ReplyDeleteThats exactly what happens to me. I feel like IM going to pass out and throw up at the same time and the only answer is food. What else will bring my blood sugar up? Nothing. I know eating right to begin with would have kept it from spiraling out of control but now that is has I have to eat to bring it back in control. Vicious cycle.

Glad my post went through and your response. I have fibro, cfs, hypothyroidism and the list goes on and on. So I wanted to do the hcg to start the whole process(starvation to force hypothalamus to work to pituitary to thyroid to adrenals-all of which labs show are not functioning). All with the goal of starting to make my metabolism function, with the end result of weight loss and health. Does that idea sound logical to anyone? Problem is I am about to vomit and my day has just started. Maybe it's just too much. Are you going to stick with the shots? Let me know if start feeling less miserable..cuz I am about to quit.
ReplyDeletethanks
Jen I didnt d the hcg shots. I did a drop homeopathic version of hcg. I will never do hcg again. When I quit my weight just shot up!!!

MrsDarling, I held off w/ PGX for a long while, because I thought it was a gimic also. But it has really helped me - and the science behind steadying blood sugar w/ PGX is pretty convincing!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I agree to the second comment. Losing weight is very difficult, it takes time, effort and self discipline. But the result is worth it all, being healthy is very fulfilling.
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing paragraph in favor of all the web viewers; they will get advantage from it I am sure.
